Meet Dr. Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen (pronounced “Win”) loves that he is able to straighten teeth. He thought to himself one day that not many can actually straighten people’s teeth and create wonderful smiles. And he wants to share this (superpower according to him) with others one smile at a time. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree. He then went to dental school at UF for his dental degree. Graduating in the top 5% of his class as a dentist in 2006, Dr. Nguyen continued his education at UF’s regarded 3 year orthodontic program. He received his orthodontic and master’s degrees from UF and did his master’s thesis on bite opening and muscles. He is a certified specialist in orthodontics and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Orthodontists, and Central Florida District Dental Association. Dr. Nguyen has been treating orthodontics since 2009.

He speaks English, Vietnamese, and knows a few Spanish and German words. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 young kids. Growing up in Florida and liking all that Florida offers, he made it his home. He enjoys radio controlled models including r/c helicopters. In addition to his family, his time is spent on car and house maintenance. Handyman Dr. Nguyen will try to fix things at home if they break, although sometimes totally breaking the item in his attempt. Dr. Nguyen likes going out to restaurants and food in general. People describe him as nice, caring, trustworthy, and that he looks like he’s 22 years old (when he asks others to guess his age). He wishes it were true at age 37. He likes humor and may joke around from time to time, although it may not be funny. So he may not be the greatest handyman, nor the greatest comedian, but what matters is that he is a great orthodontist. His goal with the office is to have a clean and friendly place one can go to, and trust they are in good care. He knows that a good smile is a result of both the doctor and the patient and it takes both to make a winning smile.
